Refilwe grew up in the thriving city of Soweto, south of Johannesburg. Her love for all things coffee didn’t start until she was employed as a barista at Feedem back in 2012.
She was always blown away by the magic that takes place in a kitchen which is where her love for baking started. At a young age Refilwe would play assistant to her grandmother who was known for being the family baker in her time. Till this day many close family, friends, colleagues and customers place order of buckets upon buckets of scones and biscuits from the dynamic individual.
Not all of this success is a one woman show, she has a solid support system that contributes to her success. With juggling motherhood, a business and building a large network Refilwe never forgets her humble beginnings.
The current staff compliment of Catch Up Café is six staff
members. The company intends to create job opportunities for
young unemployed females in the following fields:
